Hi, I’m Sam.

I’m a leadership coach with a passion for helping people to truly thrive in life. My purpose is to help leaders live more fulfilling and impactful lives.

I strongly believe that just because you can do something, it doesn’t mean you should. Do the things you really want to do, that make you feel alive.

Prior to becoming a professional coach, I worked for 17 years as a global senior HR leader in the engineering, pharmaceutical and biotech industries. I have significant leadership experience, heading the HR function as Chief People Officer, being a key member of the leadership team, leading my own team, supporting senior business leaders as a Global HR Business Partner and developing a bespoke leadership programme. I’ve also been a participant of a good number of leadership development programmes over my career.

My professional experience of senior leadership in the corporate world, combined with my coaching expertise, makes me uniquely positioned to coach leaders who want to re-evaluate and transform their work life.

As a coach, I love my work and get great joy from it. I didn’t always feel that way about the work I was doing. I had a highly successful corporate HR career, was very capable at what I did, and had the potential to go much further up that ladder. Yet I was not passionate about the work and I was making too many work/life balance compromises that just weren’t worth it. I was slogging away, surviving, not thriving. It was impacting me, my family and everyone around me. And so, I made some courageous moves to do work that really ignited my fire within and chose a more fulfilling and balanced life.

I am a Certified Professional CoActive Coach (CPCC) and have been coaching for 5 years.

I trained with the CoActive Training Institute (CTI), which is widely regarded as the most rigorous coach training program in the industry. I am also a graduate of CTI’s intensive 10-month leadership programme. I am a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD).

As well as a coach, I’m a mother and a farmer’s wife.  I love the outdoors, the mountains, dog walks, cycling, running through the woods, getting muddy and being in nature.   I’m as at home in a suit as I am in jeans and welly boots.
